Have You Read The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch?

If you haven’t seen the video yet you should do it now. It is nothing short of awe inspiring.
Here is the Original Lecture
Here is the short version done for Oprah.
I just finished Randy’s Book by the same title this morning. It is a great compliment to his video. I would have finished the book sooner but since its release it has been very hard to find in stores.
On the day after its release I was traveling from Maryland to North Carolina to visit my folks. I stopped at just about every major city along Interstate 95 to buy the book and every place I went I got the same answer, “Sorry, we have been sold out since yesterday.” That is 3 states and Washington DC, from Baltimore to Raleigh.
Heck, even Amazon wasn’t expecting to have any in stock until tomorrow. So if you can find the book I suggest you buy it.
All I can say is Randy seems to have really struck a cord that resonates deep inside all of us.
I know he has inspired me to step up my game on living a more fulfilling life.
It’s Your Life…Live it!

P.S. A good friend of mine Lorraine Wellman does a great review and she calls it Latitude, Attitude, Gratitude. You should see what she means by that. Read her review here.

Harry,
Thanks for the props on my review skills; that, is always nice to hear. You know what…i have heard interviews on Randy’s message; and, what he has to say is not only life changing but, more importantly, is what i consider a “spiritual calling”.
It shows the beauty of his spirit that he is willing to generously spend what time he has left on this earth, and believe me that is a precious sacrifice, to invest the effort of educating the rest of us about what priorities are the most important in life!

Give Randy Pausch a Virtual Visit since we all can’t fit in his living room, and he’s given us so much of himself.
Date and Time: Monday, May 5; 12:00 noon Eastern Daylight Time (Virginia, USA). Spread this around; blog it, text it, translate it (here are some international time guides: Melbourne- Mon 2:00 AM; Mexico City- Sun 11:00 AM; Paris- Sun 6:00 PM; Johannesburg- Sun 6:00 PM; Beijing- Midnight Sun-Mon; London- Sun 5:00 PM).
So no matter where you are, as close as you can to 12 noon EDT, sing, hum or just think it:
“Sing” (Sing A Song)- from Sesame Street (written by Joe Raposo)
Sing, Sing a song.
Sing out loud, Sing out strong.
Sing of good things, not bad.
Sing of happy, not sad.
Sing, Sing a song.
Make it simple, To last your whole life long.
Don’t worry that it’s not good enough, For anyone else to hear.
Sing, Sing a song.
We can do it and he deserves it: Knowing just when we’re all thinking of him..

Harry,
I was stationed at Ft. Sherman in ‘80. Weren’t you the corporal MP stationed there who gave us guys a ride back from the locks when we returned from Colon? I’m checking out this page now.
By the way, I live in Tucson with my wife, three kids and two dogs. I’m thirty credits from my Bachelor’s degree form N.A.U., and we both work in Tucson. I know you’re busy, but if you find time, email me back: williammault@q.com. Have a great day!
